CA Wildfires

NENN Press Release: In response to the ongoing wildfires impacting Southern California, NENN Equine and the NENN Foundation have swiftly ramped up efforts to support affected communities by providing emergency animal care, transportation, shelter, and supplies. Through key partnerships with Los Angeles and Ventura County Animal Services, NENN is ensuring animals are being cared for and safely relocated to designated safe-havens.

As wildfires continue to wreak havoc on our communities, NENN Equine has been at the forefront of providing logistical support for animal evacuations and emergency care. The organization has worked tirelessly to secure resources for displaced animals, including but not limited to horses, small ruminants, poultry and pigs. By coordinating generous donations from compassionate community members and industry vendors, NENN Equine is equipped to provide essential services and shelter to animals in distress. Key support resources are identified below:

  • Available Shelter: Nenn Equine has identified and secured over 500 animal stalls, which continues to grow through ongoing collaborative efforts. The stalls and locations can accommodate a variety of animals including horses, sheep/goats, poultry and pigs. Additionally, over 100 spots have been identified for animal transporters. Please see relative details including availability and locational information following this press release.
  • Feed Donations: Partners such as Tractor Supply, Theresa's Country Pet & Feed, Kahoots, Blue Ribbon Hay and Healthy Pet have contributed vital nutrition for displaced animals.
  • Medications and Supplies: Industry leaders like MWI, Mid West, Covetrus and Boehringer Ingelheim have donated life-saving medical supplies to support acute care needs.

“We are deeply grateful to the local and out-of-area veterinarians who have joined us in this effort, as well as the many volunteers and animal care teams working tirelessly to support the affected communities,” said Dr. Nenn (Co-Founder & COO). “As the fires continue to impact more areas, we will remain committed to providing acute medical care, transportation, and shelter to animals in need.”
